Born and raised in New York, Theona Daun graduated from Queens College with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Information Systems. She was recruited by Anchin Block and Anchin CPAs (NYC) and began her career as an Auditor and Tax Preparer. 

 Theona Daun relocated to Central Florida as a newlywed, and worked in private industry as the Assistant Controller for Ocean Development Group, a Real Estate/Timeshare Developer headquartered in New Smyrna Beach. She left this position to become the Controller of Foley & Associates, a Daytona Beach Construction company.

 Theona Daun received her CPA certification in 1996, and relocated with her husband to South Florida in 1996 to be closer to family. From 1996 until 2000, she was an auditor and tax preparer for Millward & Company, CPAs. Her specialization in litigation support and forensic accounting began when she joined Daszkal Bolton CPAs in 2000. After 7 years, she left her position as Manager of the Litigation Support Department to become a partner of a local forensic CPA firm where she remained for 13 years until the founding of O’Shell Daun, Certified Public Accountants. 

Theona holds Certified Public Accounting licenses in New York and Florida. Additional designations held are Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, Certification in Financial Forensics, and Chartered Global Management Accountant. As a qualified expert in Palm Beach, Broward and Sarasota County, her cases include high net worth family law matters, criminal, estate and trust, and civil matters. 

Career highlights include testimony at a criminal trial, on behalf of a client charged with a financial crime by the State of Florida. The client faced 40 years of incarceration and was found not guilty by the jury. Another noteworthy case involved a religious institution embroiled in litigation due to fraud. The law firm and forensic accounting firms donated their time, free of charge. The matter settled after Theona Daun’s testimony was taken, in favor of the client.
